HOLY CRAP! I'M GOING TO COMIC CON!
So, yesterday, my friend in California had her fanfic group all together (and me), and we plotted to get those San Diego Comic Con tickets. Rules were we could only purchase three tickets, and there were four of us.
Since I'm from Colorado and was sort of the odd one out (not part of the fanfic group), I said it was fine to discount me if one of the others got in first. And that's what happened. My bud got in and got three tickets.
So I was the only one left. ;_; I pretty much just sat back and told myself that not going would mean I just wouldn't be spending that money and that was fine. Everybody stayed on to try and get in to get me the tickets, but at 35 minutes after the line opened (and with the Preview night gone), I wasn't too optimistic.
AND THEN!
At 37 minutes in, I WAS IN! I tried to tell the system to let me buy more than one ticket (one of the other people wanted to buy tickets for someone else, so I was going to do that), but my laptop sometimes doesn't click right when I use the touch pad, and it clicked out of the selection and defaulted to one ticket, and I'd already clicked ahead (yes, I was too excited and impatient), BUT STILL!
I'M GOING TO THE SAN DIEGO COMIC CON!!! WITH A GROUP!!! WHO SEEM TO BE OKAY WITH ME DRESSING THEM UP!!! XD
Now I just have to get all the costumes done. :P Still, this is going to be so awesome!
(BTW, this means I'm hitting Costume Con 34, the Denver Comic Con, and the San Diego Comic Con this summer! That's a ton of costumes that I need to do, as all those cons have decent and fun competitions... the type that push me to better myself and really try.
CC34: Bart's Boss and Yakko + World Quilt
DCC: Qwark and Nefarious combo with my bro
SDCC: Undecided, depends on what I can talk others into; possibly Phoenix [if solo] or a Rise of the Guardians group [if I can talk everyone into it, and depending on how many other people can make their own costumes])
This post would have come yesterday, but right after the excitement of getting a ticket wore off, the low-grade headache I had bloomed into a full migraine, and the monthly cramps that had just started right before I got out of bed hit hard and made me wonder if seppuku might help alleviate the pressure. >:P So, yeah, good news waited until today.
