So, did manage to contact my adviser about meeting to talk about my presentation (which I will be giving next week Friday), and he responded with his usual slightly snarky, hostile tone. >:P I know, I know, just put up with him for another semester and then run like hell away from the school. Still, aggravating.
Thus, trying to finish with all the data (making it look pretty and such) so that I can show him tomorrow, have him rip it apart, do whatever he wants, and give the presentation next Friday.
School schedule is as follows (listed here mostly for my benefit):
-tomorrow, show adviser presentation and get opinions on it
-next Friday (1/31), give presentation and get feedback from department
-Friday after (2/7), finish draft of thesis and give adviser a copy
-week after (which should be the fifth week of the semester), take comp test
After that, everything depends on how I do on the comp test. If I pass, woot! And then I just have to defend my thesis (pending on what changes my adviser gets back to me with), and get that fired off, hopefully before Spring Break. If I fail... actually, that almost makes things easier, as then there aren't any options, and I could legitimately just walk out on them.
Thus, by February, all will be decided (and possibly done). Kind of nice, really.
Everything is in sight, which is both relieving and terrifying, as I have been trying to get a job for the last few months and had no luck. I know part of that is because I am still in school, but I really do need something more than just tutoring (which is what I have been doing on the side; not stable, but at least something more).
Here's hoping it all comes together. Emails to occur probably tomorrow after my meeting, as I am trying to focus on getting my data to look nice and presentable (which I told him it would be).
And on another note, still sick (stuffed head, achy, and the world keeps spinning both with and without medication). With any luck, this will go away before I have to present. :P
