Well, some progress... and lots of nothing. :P
So, this weekend was... interesting.
First off, we will get the laugh fest over with. >:P So, that binder I ordered and tried on and it works great? Well, it did pinch me a little in the thigh area. I was totally willing to put up with that, though, because it was wearable otherwise and did the job.
Looked at it closer today, thought about male anatomy, and realized I'd been wearing it backwards.

Put it on the right way and OMG THIS IS COMFORTABLE AND AWESOME AND HAS EVEN BETTER BOOB SQUISH THAN BEFORE AND ARGH I AM SO STUPID!!!
So, yeah, feel free to bust your guts out in mirth over my idiocy. >:P
Aside from failure to wear clothing, I managed to get the main black-fur body suit done for my first fursuit. It took forever and a day because I triple-stitched the seams to make sure they were secure. The problem? Very baggy, but if I was to tighten it at all, I know it would be too tight to move around in (as happened with the test suit I made and had to undo seams on). So, not really happy with how it looks (saggy skin!), thus attempting to fix it before I really show it off.
(Using elastic thread, I'm going over the major trouble areas and making them into sort of 4-way stretch material. Long process, but I've seen the results others have gotten and it really is a good way to get form-fitting without sacrificing mobility.)
So, yeah, that's taking much longer than expected. :P I have one more cuff to finish with bias tape (because for me, an unfinished edge is MADDENING!!!), and then I'm going to sew the elastic in. Then the main fursuit will be done.
That leaves the pants, head, and gloves to still do. This will see the light of day... eventually. -_-;;; I'm thinking of making a Santa hat for the character to wear and turning his debut into a Happy Holiday video.
I was able to get one of the HP Gift Exchange things completely done, and tonight I'm thinking maybe I'll finish the fursuit cuff and do the other major big HP gift thing. That'll just leave 3 things left before I start shipping stuff (or planning how to ship stuff). Have a fic idea, but not sure if I'll get to that in time for the holiday. We'll see what Thanksgiving break brings. ;)
Other things to do: Star Wars smock top for my mom (EEE!!! XD I heard about Episode 7!!! I'm so excited for that!), Hellsing red/black gloves for my brother, and pillows for my mom's friend. That's it.
School-wise: Phyto paper, thesis proposal, and lit review for thesis. That's my goal this semester. If we ever get the computer up and running with the chem program, I may be able to get some research done, but that seems like a pipe dream at this point. -_-;;; Still, if I have to do another semester, that's not so bad.
Want to go home, since I'm feeling off today (and I'd rather work on crafts), but gotta wait for lab at 6pm. Good news there is labs are almost done for the semester, which will be awesome, even though this semester is going by way too fast.
