I'm in Berkeley now. I moved up over the weekend. I'm psyched that they opened a Target in Albany since it's much closer than the one in El Cerrito. But what's even more awesome is that it's two stories! Two whole floors of Target goodness! They have this special conveyor system that takes your cart up or down as you ride the escalator. I haven't tried it yet. I just used the elevator, but it looks cool.
So, I'm trying to decide what hi-speed internet company to sign up for. Any recommendations? I'd like to get cable internet but it's expensive and I read somewhere that they block downloading via certain programs? like bittorrent? That could be just one company though. My area is serviced by Comcast. Anybody use them? It would cost less if I also signed up for digital cable tv, which would be nice since my reception isn't that great, but that's really expensive too. Plus, I don't watch that much tv anyway, or at least I try not to. I should just hurry up and sign up with Sonic.net. Right now I'm piggy-backing off of someone's unsecured wireless network. ^^;;
I'm trying to keep my apartment relatively bare. The more surfaces I have the more likely I am to pile stuff on them, creating a lot of clutter. But the living room is too bare. It's just a squishy chair and ottoman. I'd like to at least put a rug down (the floors are all hardwood). But I don't want to spend a fortune on an area rug. Anything below $100 is okay. haha I'm trying to decide on a color theme. I enjoy looking at people's ideas on
http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ and getting some inspiration. If you know any other good design sites, especially for small spaces (and small budgets), let me know! ^^
