Last Week...

I'm so smart. I missed the first day of class last week. ^^; But, it was a Friday! I thought it started today. XD Oops. I don't think they did anything anyway so it's okay.

What else did I do last week...nothing. Oh wait, I saw M.I.A at CLUB QUATTRO last Monday! She was so much fun, despite the show starting really early at 6pm and ending early too. :/ By the time I had drunk 2 (wild) turkey cokes, it was only 7:30pm! Also, I don't like CLUB QUATTRO. The layout annoys me because there's a big pillar in the way. I had wanted to see her the next day at the Liquid Room instead, but I had to work. Anyway, she was all over the place, climbing on things and whatnot. I feel like she performed more songs off of Arular than Kala, but I guess the latter is a bit more down tempo and she wanted to keep a more club/party atmosphere? I love the live mixes of the songs, though. After that, it was so early I went wandering around Shibuya by myself.

I've been a little graphics nuts lately so I went scouring through icon communities and collecting new icons. ^^; I don't have a photo or graphics editor on this pc, so I can't make good ones myself atm. http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=killmestop

Then yesterday, I was downloading all these background flash files for my phone. I'm gonna regret it when the bill comes. XD But my phone's so pretty now. I should have done it a long time ago. I feel like it's more me now. haha Currently, it's these antique keys that turn and twinkle with black borders and filigree. *happy* ^^

Also, I was discussing Korean doramas with tigerpal and speedygz and somehow ended up watching a recent one called Coffee Prince. ^^;; It's completely silly but once I read the plot I had to watch. Gender-bending? Pretty boys? Ambiguously gay duo? haha yeah. ^^;; I'm almost done watching it. I'll probably watch the last couple of episodes tonight. Basically, if you've seen and enjoyed the Japanese manga/dorama, Hana Kimi, you'll probably enjoy this. It's less outlandishly, silly fun than Hana Kimi, but still fun.

It's interesting watching Korean dramas because it makes me remember when I first started learning Japanese and couldn't understand a thing. Back at square one again. I'd like to study Korean next. And now I'm picking up terms as I go, just like I did with Japanese. It's fun. ^^ Sometimes I try to watch the Chinese and Korean dramas that air here with Japanese subtitles, but it's work. ^^;; It can be interesting though. I once watched a movie largely in Japanese with French subtitles. Somehow that was a bit easier. Speaking of Japanese, the "prettiest" of the coffee shop employees, Sun Ki, is supposed to be half-Japanese and randomly starts muttering in Japanese, which made me like the show even more. ^^;; In one scene the other workers were teasing and talking in a Korean-Japanese mix, ending sentences with "desu" etc. Anyway, I found it highly amusing. And I love haughty, pretty Sun Ki with his waffles, books and black nail polish. <3

I'll watch the poo movies and Yonsama next time. ^^;;
