Turkey Day!
I ate too much, haha. It was all so good though! Turkey (of course!), stuffing, mashed potatoes, and then... meatballs with onions?
Courtney (my sister) had a couple come over named Christian and Amelia, who come from Romania. Pretty neat, huh? So they made a bit of a Romanian dish! It was pretty good!
I love being here, but at the same time I miss all of my friends terribly. I hope Jen was able to do something today, even though her mom has been selfish and neglectful.
I'm pretty sure Unness didn't do much for Thanksgiving, considering she told me that her mom doesn't care much about Thanksgiving. I don't blame her, it's a pretty unnecessary holiday.
It's like in Elementary school, when the teachers tell you about Thanksgiving, telling you that the pilgrims were BEST FRIENDS with the Indians. I laughed, disgusted but not very surprised, when I later learned we had killed more than half of the Native Americans. So come on, America! Kick back, relax, and enjoy a turkey to remember the day we offed the Indians!
I don't really like Turkey, but I eat it because I don't want to be rude on Thanksgiving. It's just one of those things.
So I was talking to Unness last night, and both of us decided that we could save money to go to New Jersey together. I'm so fucking excited! I've never been on a trip like that with a friend before! We could go to New York City, buy some things, look our best, and just have fun! And of course, I'll have to show her the Princeton area, because it's incredibly beautiful. We'll probably go in Spring though, because I need to get a job and we need to raise money for the trip. I wanted to get a lip piercing for my grades, but that's out of the question if I want to get a job. I think I might work with Tyler at the nursing home. He gets an extra two hundred dollars if he gets a friend to work there, it's by my house, and maybe I could cheer the old people up!!! I don't think I'll get very depressed (well, I HOPE not, anyway!), but if I get a little sad I'll just think about something else. Like the money I'm getting. Haha.
