Wedding bliss

Nick invited me to go with him to his cousin's wedding on July 3rd. I thought my parents would consider it because they've been more open and receptive to things like that lately. Wow, was I wrong. My dad started saying stuff like he didn't like the fact that it was in a private home... but I attempted to explain to him the reason for it but all he heard was... drinks, rooms, boys and girls. blahhh... If he knew me at all, he'd know that I'd have to be forced into a room with a guy other than Nick... but it's also a wedding so if it were Nick or not, I wouldn't be in that room, it'd be disrespectful. Anyway, my mom started going on about how they don't know Nick's parents nor do they know his relatives and such things.. well I told them that they don't even take the opportunity to get to know Nick's parents.. and my dad said, "they don't take the opportunity to get to know us either" and i was just like, what the hell kind of argument is that?!??! just cuz someone doesn't try to get to know you doesn't mean you don't try to get to know them ESPECIALLY if your daughter is EXTREMELY good friends with their child. and then they went on to say that them not getting to know Nick's parents was irrelevant.. but if it were irrelevant, why did they bring that up as a reason to say no in the first place? blah.. I swear there should be a guidebook out there to understand parents. I want to go really bad, to meet his family and spend time with him. but no, my parents want to go somewhere for the weekend... I DON'T WANT TO GO ANYWHERE! I really don't... I dislike family trips for the weekend immensely. They're never any fun because it's just my mom, dad, and I... no one else. I got no one to converse with and to keep me entertained. I finally got my dad to consider it and he said he'd sleep on it..

I hope he says yes

I love you Nicky... much

Hopefully you'll get home soon so I can talk to you... btw, Troy's more of an ass that I could have ever imagined.
