It seems too bizarre, and the Carol feels the urge to laugh … or cry, she’s not sure yet.
“Are you alright?”
A voice interrupts her thoughts, and as she turns around, a strange smile still on her face, Michonne is there.
Carol crosses her arms. “Sure. We're all alright now, aren’t we?”
“Mh.” That’s all Michonne has to say to this. Not that more words were necessary.
They know each other, better than any of these people ever could, bonded over loss and pain and struggle. They know the world, the real world as it is now.
“Do you think we will fit in?” Michonne asks after a while.
“We’ll manage. It’s going to be hard to keep up the charade, but we’ll manage.”
Michonne grins. “We will.”
