Title: Leave with me
Fandom: American Dad
Prompt: 065 - Taste
Pairing: Linda/Francine
Words: 411
Rating: G

“You know, Linda,” Francine says and takes another shot of tequila, “sometimes I think Stan does not love me anymore.”

Linda nods and can’t take her eyes of the beautiful blonde next to her who looks so sad. She can’t understand how Francine is still married to that man who obviously doesn’t deserve her. He never listens, is selfish and not romantic at all.

Linda sighs. If Francine was with her, she would do anything to make her happy.

“You know what would get your mind off your husband? A little dancing,” the dark haired woman smiles, drawing Francine’s attention to the song that’s playing.

“You’re right! We should have a good time and not think of stupid men anymore,” Francine rejoices and takes Linda’s hand, leads her with some shaky steps to the dance floor.

The women move to the music, laugh and sing along, and while Francine’s eyes are closed and she sways to the rhythm, Linda enjoys watching the other woman’s body. She is slim yet curvy, and when a slow song is coming up, she doesn’t hesitate to lay her hands on Francine’s hips. The blonde leans in and rests her head on Linda’s shoulder.

“Why can’t Stan be like you? I’m so happy to have you as a friend.”

“You know, we don’t have to stay fr-“ Linda starts to say when the music stops and a well-known voice can be heard.

“Francine? Are you here?”

“Stan?” the blonde asks surprised and departs from Linda, looking around to where the microphone-voice comes from.

“Francine, I’m sorry,” Stan says and Linda’s stomach starts to hurt when he emerges from the crowd, approaching his wife. “I should show you more often what you mean to me, that I care for you and … that I love you.”

“Oh, Stan!” Francine exclaims and runs up to him into his arms, leaving Linda behind without a second glance.

And when they kiss and leave the club, Linda goes alone to the bar and orders some vodka. Why is she always that stupid? She should know by now that Francine will never return her feelings, no matter how bad Stan treats her. She should know by now that there will never be a time they leave the club together, to finally be together.

After finishing her drink she gets her purse and walks home alone to her own husband, the taste of disappointment on her tongue where Francine’s tequila should have been.
