i'm pretty happy right now.
i can't even talk about it because i don't want to even think about the possible backlash i might receive because of it.
great movies are out and continuing to come out. lars and the real girl is my favourite film of 07, hands down. and no, it's not because ryan gosling is a major babe. the movie is funny, sad, endearing and all kinds of other shit. and because the film is so well-acted you end up loving the whole town, in addition to lars. fuck, i even cared about bianca, the doll. i don't want to give anything away so i'll just say do yourself a favour and check it out. it's a heart-warming film just in time for the cold weather.
i also checked out american gangster. look, i ain't gonna lie when i say i wanted to see it because of TI's appearance. unfortunately, he had about 4 minutes of screen time. his character was also really under-developed. it was as though they were trying to have a sub-plot going on with him and his possible career in baseball etc. but just gave up. or maybe the rest of the scenes ended up on the cutting room floor? either way, his character was so random. otherwise it was a decent film, but only because it's based on a true story. if someone had just written it i would have walked away feeling cheated.
