I did it!!! Tonight I was voted in to the Open Hearth Foundation, Board of Governors. Thanks go to Joe and Deirdre who were my references, to Anne for being one of my sponsors, and a special thanks to Corbin who found me in this northern community and was my other sponsor for the Board. I couldn’t have done it with out them.
I’m sure the reality of how much more work I’ll have will set in sometime in the next few days. It may cut in to my ability to read all of the CMA email. But right now I’m just proud. I did it. I’m on the board of a real live 501 3(c) non-prophet corporation. I feel like such a grown-up and such a child at the same time.
Now how do I tell CMA?
