In a few hours I am going to be attending an Immigrants Rights Demonstration in Kansas City, like the ones in Dallas and Flordia the past few days. I think this is an important issue we all need to pay attention to.
THE UNITED STATES IS A COUNTRY FULL OF IMMIGRANTS! It's extremely hard to find a real, full-blooded American around these days. If these laws had been put in place when your family tried to come over here, where would you be now?
WORKERS ARE AMERICANS, and most of the time Mexicans are willing to work hard and do their jobs right. Even making minimum wage, they still make more here in one hour than they could all day in Mexico. THIS IS ABOUT HUMANITY! Talk to the Mexican cook or dishwasher at your local restaurant, or the guy up there fixing your roof or building the houses in the next neighborhood. Many times they've got families back in Mexico and they're sending their entire paycheck to them. They are here to make a better life for themselves and their families, and who in their right mind would want to stop that? PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE, no matter where their country of origin. WE MUST STOP THESE RACIST ANTI-IMMIGRATION LAWS!!!
