I'm scared of a lot of random things in life.
Clowns
Suspension bridges
Riptide in tidepools (I have this nightmare of getting dragged through the anemones.)
Zippers on tight pants...
One thing that seems to be a pretty normal fear that I lack is public speaking tho. Give me time to prepare and I'll stand in front of anybody you want. Speaking in front of a crowd doesn't evoke quite the same testicle shriveling fear that clowns do. But to the key to my relative chill attitude towards public speaking is preparation. I'll sit in front of a mirror, rehearse my lines so I don't need note cards.
This morning, boss comes up to me at around 9
"Hey, you need to give a lunch and learn at 11:30."
"Bwuh?!"
Hour and a half presentation in front of the sales team, 2 and a half hours to prepare. Oh scratch that.. I had a meeting from 9 to 11. 30 minutes to prepare. Kick Ass!
