The Moment I Wake Up.

My Best Friend's Wedding Quotes.

[Sue me. I love this film. I really can relate to Jules and her love for Michael...Don't ask. It's a long story.]

Jules and Michael spending an afternoon on a ferry... Michael sings, "The Way You Look Tonight" as they dance.

Michael O'Neill: Kimmy says if you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud. Otherwise the moment just...
Julianne Potter: Passes you by...
Michael O'Neill: Passes you by...

The scene at the station. Jules and Michael talking after Kimmy finds them kissing at her mother's house on her wedding day. [Sounds familiar, alright.... =D haha]

Julianne Potter: I'm pond scum. Well, lower actually. I'm like the fungus that feeds on pond scum.
Michael O'Neill: Lower. The pus that infects the mucus that cruds up the fungus that feeds on the pond scum. On the other hand, thank you for loving me that much, that way. It's pretty flattering.
Julianne Potter: Except it makes me fungus.

Ahhh. The Inevitable Chase Scene. A chases B chases C, who is Kimmy running away after she finds A(Jules) and B(Michael) kissing. [THE REALIZATION]

George Downes: Michael's chasing Kimmy?
Julianne Potter: Yes!
George Downes: You're chasing Michael?
Julianne Potter: YES!
George Downes: Who's chasing you... nobody, get it? There's your answer. It's Kimmy.

The "Thank goodness! You have friends to pick you up when you're down!" scene. For Jules, it's George.

George Downes: The misery, the exquisite tragedy. The Susan Hayward of it all. I can just picture you there, sitting alone at your table in your lavender gown.
Julianne Potter: Did I tell you my gown was lavender?
George Downes: Hair swept up. Haven't touched your cake. Probably drumming your fingernails on the white linen tablecloth, the way you do when you're really feeling down. Perhaps looking at those nails thinking: 'God, I should have stopped in all my evil plotting to have that manicure, but it's too late now.
Julianne Potter: George, I didn't tell you my dress was lavender.
George Downes: Suddenly, a familiar song. And, you're off your chair in one, exquisite movement... wondering, searching, sniffing the wind like a dapple deer. Has God heard your little prayer? Will Cinderella dance again? And then, suddenly, the crowds part and there he is: sleek, stylish... radiant with charisma. Bizarrely, he's on the telephone. But then, so are you. And then he comes towards you... the moves of a jungle cat. Although you quite correctly sense that he is... gay... like most devastatingly handsome single men of his age are, you think... what the hell. Life goes on. Maybe there won't be marriage... maybe there won't be sex... but, by God, there'll be dancing.  Bond... Jane Bond.

It's George who even though Jules have made a fool of herself, is still there to pick up the pieces and try to glue them all together by playing/poking fun at it.
