Not sure why I'm posting this....
Everyone on here that reads my lj knows about this already...
...or would have if they actually tried to chat sometime instead of just complaining about how we don't...
...but my mom was admitted into the hospital on Monday, and went into surgery that night to remove her appendix. They tried to do it nonevasively, but it was so ready to pop, it burst the second they prodded it. This forced them to open her up and remove the appendix the old fashion way and to clean up everything that had spilled out.
This also means that she has to be on IV antibiotics for a few days and must remain at the hospital.
Other than that she is fine. She has even stop taking morphine already, to the surprise of her doctor. I know were I get my high pain threshold from.
She's hungry, but can't eat yet. Partly due to the surgery, and partly as they are waiting for the results from tests to see if she may need to go back into surgery. But other than that Mom is doing fine.
