LJ sometimes is used to report bad news, and I am afraid that this is one of those times. Last Thursday night, a active brother of my fraternity had a massive stroke. He just turned 19 on Friday. WE ar ento sure what caused it, but it looks like a birth defect. There is no history in his family of stroke. After two surgeries, in one where dead brain tissue was removed, he is in final hours. This 19 year old kid is literally on his deathbed. He has lost 11 of 13 major brian functions. It is only a matter of time.
I am sorry if this seems a bit melodramatic, but I cannot think of anyother way to communicate the death of a 19 year old boy by STROKE. It is senseless. I do not know why God chooses not to intervene, but He has not and I will accept that. All are healed, whether in this life or the next. The scriptures speak of God being a jealous God - I suppose he just wanted this young man in his kingdom. For being in the Kingdom, I envy him. I just hope God gives us the strength, his PARENTS, famiy, and fraternity brothers the strength to keep going as well. If anyone will be in Athens this week, I will be there till Sunday, I could use the company and some one to seek solace with.
