[Killua just finished his work out with his pokémon. Meaning that he's covered in some minor scrapes, bruises and a layer of dirt. Not to mention his shirt has become non-existent thanks to a well aim flamethrower. He's in a pretty good mood, after the tournament he's been going out everyday since then training himself. That had been a particularly ( Read more... )

It's not really a Japanese tradition, but people go around in costumes to get candy.

Do the costumes have to be anything in particular? [He didn't want to dress up in something stupid.]

I think you're supposed to put on scary costumes, but people just wear whatever they want. Oh, and bring a bucket or a bag for all the candy. Makes it easier to carry around than stuffing them in pockets.

Anything I want well it should be fun coming up with something. [Sadly he would have no choice in the matter.]

Does the size of the bag matter?

You could always go as a bedsheet ghost!

Depends. Some people are stingy when giving out candy, but I think bringing a biiiiiiiig bag and visiting every place in town will help fill it up! [because this is what he is going to do.]

Bedsheet ghost?

Since I'm in the supposedly largest city in Johto. I'll be sure to get the biggest and sturdiest one I can find. [He might end up getting more than one bag.]

Yeah. Just grab a white bedsheet, throw it over your head, cut in holes for the eyes, and you're done!

Maybe those sacks they use to haul around potatoes could work.

That sounds like it look stupid.

Potato sacks sound though sound like a great idea.

Eh. It's cheap and fast. Some people take the extra effort and make their own costumes, but it's up to you if you wanna do that, or just buy a pre-made one at the department store.

I'll think of something good. I don't want to look like an idiot in a sheet.

[Wait a minute a unsettling thought came to him.]

...Hey you wouldn't happen to know what Alice in wonderland is. I just remember a um friend buying stuff for that.

Yeah, I know Alice in Wonderland. I've seen costumes for it before, and they're all really good. You're thinking about cosplaying someone from it?

I'm one of the people from different Earth. So I don't know anything about it, except that the guy is using it for a halloween theme. What's cosplay?

I don't trust the guy's judgement too much. [Or let him near his room at night.]

Ohhh, an alternate universe! I knew they existed! Well, Alice in Wonderland is a very costume-able story, so people cosplay from it a lot--

Ah! Right, right, cosplay. That's sort of a portmanteau of "costume" and "play" back where I'm from.

You should give Alice in Wonderland a chance, though. You'd probably make a good Cheshire Cat!

You'll find out about stranger things than that around this place.

Playing in costumes, huh.

That doesn't reassure me at all. I get the feeling that guy already picked my costume. [He somehow got Kil's measurements and likes to troll. Not the best combination.]

As long as they don't eat people, I'm okay with strange.

Yep, pretty much. Some people do it all the time. Dunno how they could stand it, though. But it's who they are, so. Eh.

Uwah, you've got a friend picking the costume for you? Make sure it isn't something embarrassing, like a princess costume!

I've talked to Death and a dragon. Strange doesn't even begin to describe what this place throws at you.

They sound like a bunch of weirdos.

Embrassing is the least of what he might try to pull.
