Your Waist Size Reveals Remarkable Fact
Get out a tape measure and swing it around your waist.
New research from an international team of scientists shows that your
waistline is a far better predictor of heart disease than total body
fat as typically measured through the body mass index (BMI), according
to a scientific study published in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
There is no wiggle room here. In a joint research project, scientists
from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Columbia University, Nagoya
University Graduate School of Medicine in Nagoya, Japan, and Verona
University Medical School in Verona, Italy have pinpointed the numbers
for good heart health:
Men: Your waistline should be 35 inches or less.
Women: Your waistline should be 33 inches or less.
