Pearl Weekend
on friday i left for pi lambda phi's formal in clearwater. it was super fun. i went with paul who is a perfect date because we are such awesome friends and i can talk to him for hours about nothing. we roomed with josh and his date, shelby and this other couple...the girl is amanda but i forgot her boyfriend's name. friday we got there kinda late cuz i hate a micro test and paul had to go to the observatory. it was kool though, once we got there everyone was drinking and basically completely gone. it was great. paul and i had a few drinks and called it a night a little bit later.
saturday we woke up nice and early and got a hot breakfast. it was so good, i hadnt had a real breakfast in forever. then we walked around the boardwalk and bought a camera. then we headed to the beach where we met up with all of his brothers and their dates. it was kinda windy so there was sand flying everywhere. but it was just so nice to be by the beach. after beaching, we went out to lunch with josh and then laid by the pool. i got so much sun! paul got really really really burned--he looks like a lobster. then i went back to the room to get ready for the formal dinner. i wore a black dress, as did the other girls in my room. dinner was good--i had steak and a baked potato. they presented awards/superlatives and the guys all got their pearls, which is like their yearbook. then there was a comedian. he was funny usually, but sometimes i couldnt understand what he was saying. that night was mayhem with everyone getting very very trashed. it was great--i cannot believe how well these guys can handle their alcohol!
sunday everyone (but me) was hung over. we got donuts in the morning and i drove home. i am so happy paul asked me to go, i hope he had as much fun as i did!
i missed bryan a lot so it was really great to see him yesterday afternoon.
now its time to do hardcore studying. one more week and its summerbound--bittersweet, isnt it?
