I'm back
I felt it would be completely appropriate to start writing in my journal again, I've had a good amount of time on my hands lately and plenty to write about.
I don't think I really understood what challenge or competition meant until I finished my first year at FIT. I learned more in two semesters than I probably learned all throughout high school. Its clear that what I have committed to study requires serious dedication, but more importantly passion and nonetheless creativity. I love everything about it and although I curse myself at 4am because I just want to finish a project, I'd much rather that than a damn 5 page paper. haha.
This summer is everything I did not plan for it to be... although this is the case, I'm enjoying my plan of not having a plan. I hope to go to Mindo again for the fourth time this summer, I'm working on collecting the money. I will visit my mom in Seattle and travel to Portland and meet Christina, a friend I made at FIT, and then hopefully continue to California. The objective is to explore the west coast, a region I think I'll enjoy very much! Squeezing in Lollapalooza Music festival in Chicago would be nice too. Nothing is set in stone, we shall see how things go.
