Character Info
Character Name: Garcian Smith
Character’s Age: He appears to be 33, but was born in the early 1940's.
Fandom: Killer7
Timeline: After "Encounter".
Appearance:
This gun holds seven bullets. I'm a professional. Garcian's appearance is, in a word, pristine. Standing at above 6'3", he strikes a very impressive figure and can even seem imposing at times, what with his strong, square features and perpetually austere expression. Garcian is also very clean and well-groomed. He keeps his facial hair neat and tidy--he has a pencil moustache and a beard that completely covers his chin, growing along the jawline. His left earlobe is pierced, and he wears a small gold hoop in it. He also wears the Vision ring; it's a silver band with a green gem. No matter where he goes or how many bodies he has to clean up, his white suit is spotless, perfectly pressed and without a trace of dirt or wrinkles. Along with his suit he wears a dark lavender-gray dress shirt and a yellow tie. He wears dress shoes, usually in whites, grays, and blacks, but, like the rest of his clothes (and, well, the rest of his appearance, really), they're very well taken care of.
Garcian is also always carrying around a long dark suitcase. It is not to be opened.
History:
the most convoluted shit ever
and some even MORE convoluted shit
As I'm taking Garcian from before the events of Smile, he will not be aware of his (or Harman's) true identity at all.
Personality:
The biggest-or at least the most evident--part of Garcian’s personality is his professionalism. Assign something to him and he will do it without much question and with a very high rate of success. Garcian is all about business, and that business happens to be disposing of bodies and being the professional face of the Smith Syndicate of assassins; he is the liaison between the assassins, Harman, and the government, and he likes it that way. Because Garcian perceives himself as a fragment of Harman Smith's personality, he's devoted his entire life to faithfully serving Harman. Where he idolizes Harman, Garcian views himself as an underling, almost a tool: his main purpose in life is to work and to be of benefit to Harman and whoever he happens to be employed to. As such, Garcian is completely lacking in the way of a personal life. Not that he was ever one to care for such things, anyway. Christopher Mills, his government handler, is the closest Garcian has ever had to a friend (at least in this life), and even with that little bit of personal affection that he has for him, their relationship is almost entirely professional. Overall, Garcian appears to be extremely detached emotionally.
This isn’t to say that Garcian doesn’t feel emotion at all. Suda51 has called him “a soul man”, and supplementary materials to the game state that he’s a sweet and kindhearted man who would "not hurt a fly". While he is outwardly cold and rarely ever shows that he cares, Garcian is quite able to relate to the experiences of others. While “cleaning” in one cutscene, he shows displeasure at the fact that the bodies he’s collecting are those of children, victims of an underground organ smuggling operation. Terrible cruelty and general unfair treatment towards those who are undeserving, especially children, is a particular issue he feels strongly toward, which may or may not be a remnant of the child he is/was/idek Killer7 is crazy, Emir Parkreiner. Having been sexually abused once in his "first" life and groomed to be a pawn of the Japanese government in the "second", Garcian/Emir's younger life could have really stood for some improvement. In short, Garcian shows genuine sympathy for those who he believes deserve it.
Garcian is also prone to philosophizing. He's quite an intellectual and about all sorts of things, usually the larger issues plaguing the world and the government(s?) he’s working for-cultural divides, terrorism, crime, and so on. He's very aware of politics, though he chooses not to directly involve himself in it. Most of his jobs are from the government, yes, but apart from disposing of whoever needs to be disposed of, he avoids politics. With the exception of trusted colleagues like Mills, Garcian never lets anyone know what, exactly, he happens to be thinking about. While Garcian is definitely capable of waxing poetic or philosophical, he tends to remain very terse and cryptic in all that he does.
Powers/Abilities:
Garcian possesses a third eye. While still under the identity of Emir Parkreiner, he had the ability to absorb personalities into himself with this third eye. This is how he originally gained the six other Smith personae, Harman, and all the other remnant psyches that came with them. At this point in his canon, however, Garcian's third eye is closed; this ability will not come into play in Bell Pointe.
Garcian, with the aid of a particular television, can turn into one of the other six Smiths. Occasionally, being caught on film will cause him to forcibly transform into one of the other Smiths. Garcian can also heal himself or any of the other Smiths by absorbing blood, which is collected in vials.
His suitcase contains several weapons, but he will only ever use his own weapon, a silenced pistol (specifically, a SIG Sauer P230) that fires five rounds per magazine.
Garcian also possesses several powered rings that have different effects when worn...
- Stamina Ring: grants the wearer increased stamina.
- Vision Ring: allows the wearer to see ghosts and the invisible Heaven Smiles (and other invisible supernatural beings, but I'll PM players for that one~)
- Time Ring: reverses the passage of time upon an object or small area.
- Power Ring: increases the strength of the wearer's attacks.
- Fire Ring: shoots a short stream of fire.
- Wind Ring: expels a small gust of wind.
- Water Ring: shoots a short spray of water.
Limitations:
Upon entrance to Bell Pointe, Garcian will be separated from all the Smiths and Smith Informants/remnant psyches. Since Harman's television will not be in Bell Pointe, there will also be no way for him to transform into any of them. The Vision Ring will have no real use since there aren't any Smiles or ghosts in town yet, but the other rings will not be as functional. The Stamina and Power Ring will only work for one person for half an hour every day, and all other rings will only be able to be used once a day.

Log/Third Person Sample:
There are days that Garcian Smith sees memories. They're memories that he doesn't remember having, splashing in the back of his mind suddenly and brightly. Like flashbulbs going off. And these flashbulb memories blind him, leaving spots and stars behind his eyes when he should be discussing his assignments with Mills or conversing with the Master. He doesn't like them. Frankly, they just bother him, that's all. They're much too distracting when he should be focusing on his work and on his work alone.
Sometimes the people in his memories call him names he doesn't know.
But Garcian shrugs these off, of course; perhaps it's the memories from the other personae bleeding into his own thoughts. After all, there are quite a lot of them in Master Harman's head, and seven minds can hold quite a few things. It's on the days that these memories arise that, standing on the overpass and leaning out, overlooking the afternoon traffic, Mills turns to him and frowns. Too knowingly, Garcian observes. Mills often tells him that he needs to rest and relax.
"Y'know, Garcie, a vacation would do you a hell of a lot of good," Mills says.
But Garcian always makes a short grunt of distaste in the back of his throat. Now, of all times? A vacation? The Syndicate's enjoying the most activity that it's had in years and Mills suggests a break? If anything, he should be working twice as hard. He's antsy. The rest of the Smiths are antsy, too, trigger fingers itching for a fight, for something to do.
"I'd rather not," he answers flatly.
Mills shrugs--"whatever you say"--and finishes telling him the rest of the information for his next mission, handing him a dossier.
Garcian skims it. He'll read it all more thoroughly soon.
For now, he just needs something to chase away the face of that strange child in his memory...
Journal Entry/First Person Sample:
[Click, click, click--the faint sound of a TV's dial turning can be heard in the background of this call.]
My name is Garcian Smith. [Unlike some of the previous arrivals, Garcian knows exactly what he wants to say. Every word he says is certain, said without the least bit of hesitation.] While I'm no stranger to being sent to unknown locales, I was brought to this place entirely without warning; you'll forgive me if I don't know much about why I'm here.
[Garcian pauses.
Click.]
I would appreciate any information you can give me about Bell Pointe. Anything you can tell me, I'd like to know. I don't have any time to waste; do not hesitate if there is something you can share.
Thank you.
[The clicking noise continues even as Garcian's voice grows softer.]
The Master--I can't feel his presence...
