(no subject)
ok, so i felt like writing in this thing today. florida tomorrow:) thats exciting! i cant wait! our room is gunna be sooooo loud and such a blast:) anyways, i had to write this poem for lit so i figured i'd post it on here.
I Thought I Loved You
I thought I loved you until I knew you,
Then I saw your face and looked right through you.
I thought that you were all I wanted.
Now I look back and my mind is haunted.
Every time I see your face, it gives me a reason to despise you,
And every time I think of you, I try to come up with a reason why I wasn’t a prize to you.
I gave you my heart, my love, my soul,
Yet here I am left in tears of hate and my heart with a hole.
When I look back on the times we had,
Sometimes I just wish I could’ve hit you with a keypad.
I thought my life with you would get better,
But the coldness of your heart made me want a sweater.
When I see you now, I can’t help but shed a tear,
For it tears me apart and fills me with fear.
Love at first sight is just an at-first delight,
Because in the end it just fills you with spite.
Bitterness and hate are not far away,
Hopefully you will wander from here someday;
To linger in ones heart, to tear them apart,
To let them sink to the bottom and end up without a heart.
