As long as you focus your awareness on anxiety and depression, you'll be in a bad situation. The past is depressing because you can't change it, but thats ok because the past doesn't exist. The future makes you anxious because you can't predict it, but that's ok because the future doesn't exist. The only thing that does exist is this, right here, right now. Notice the color of paint on the walls around you. Listen to the hum of the air conditioning. If you're with a person, observe their hands, and consider how they've been put to work today. Then come back to me, I bet we won't be talking about depression or anxiety.
You're in complete control of how you feel at all times. Make use of it.
