Mairu is a slim, bespectacled girl with a small chest and brown hair that is always worn in two pigtails. She tends to wear strange clothes, usually wearing a black sailor uniform that looks nothing like her actual school uniform.

Mairu possessed the ability to drag girls into the bathrooms and steal their bras.
...Or "lacking any supernatural abilities is the only way Mairu is normal." She is, however, very physically fit and skilled in martial arts.
Personality:
To fully understand Mairu's personality, one must also know about her twin sister, Kururi. Izaya told them at a young age that one of them should commit suicide if they were going to be exactly the same person because having two sisters who were exactly the same would be boring, so they strive to be as different as possible and divided up personality traits when they were young. To this day they try to be the exact opposites of each other and in general try to make sure they are extremely unusual, interesting people. They, however, don't do this because they want to be seen as separate from each other--they think of themselves as almost "one person," and by being total opposites they're two halves of a whole. Izaya once described the goals of their behavior as an attempt to be all of humanity in one package.
Mairu is a very talkative, easily excited girl. She's curious about the unknown--things like the mysterious Headless Rider urban legend--and very open with who she is to the point of sometimes being obnoxious when she does things like reading fetish porn in the middle of class. She's prone to making sexual comments regardless of the situation, even if she does get scolded by her sister for it. She harbors an obsessive crush on an idol that goes by the name of Yuhei Hanejima, stating that while she identifies as bisexual he is the only boy she has a "slot" for(girls, on the other hand, are her preferred gender and on her first day of school she declared that she was free for sexual experimentation with any girl interested) and claiming that she would literally kill her brother for a chance to meet him.
Mairu is extremely mischevious, often getting into trouble with her sister. Building on that, when someone does something to her, she does not hesitate to retaliate. She often does so in extreme ways, like lighting their personal belongings on fire, framing them for smuggling drugs into school, or stealing their underwear.
Online, Mairu and Kururi switch it up a bit. Kururi becomes the talkative one of the pair and often gets rate-limited in the Dollars chat, while Mairu(going by the alias "Mai") becomes more of a lurker and tends to chime in with answers that are very brief, often only one word. They do not, however, switch their personalities completely, as Mairu's interruptions often include very sexual comments and Kururi pinches her for them.
History:
Mairu and her twin Kururi were born to two ordinary parents. What made their house unusual was their brother, Izaya. Izaya used the two of them for social experiments. For example, he would suggest that one of them should commit suicide when they were as young as five. After all, he told them, if they were just going to be two copies of the exact same person, having them both would be boring and redundant. Izaya's influence led them to decide to try and be complete opposites of each other, assigning themselves personality traits by flipping a coin to see who got it.
On their first day of school at Raira Academy, the twins found themselves in different classes. Mairu's self-introduction to the class included claiming to be sexually available if any girls were interested, so she was immediately branded a slut. One day, she came into class to find cruel things written on her desk, and her immediate reaction was to jump over to a crowd of girls that had been acting guilty, grabbing one of them and threatening her with a box of thumbtacks. When the girl pointed out the culprit, Mairu dragged her into the school bathroom. Eventually, the other girl went home and Mairu returned and to try to clean off her desk with the other girl's bra.
At the same time, Mairu's sister Kururi had similar things written on her desk--except instead of "whore" they were things like "sister of a whore." Kururi's classmate Aoba turned the culprits in and had a confrontation with the bullies after class, during which their bookbags errupted into flames. When were inspected after the fire was put out, it was discovered that all of the liquids in them had been laced with paint thinner. After the incident, the twins approached Aoba and revealed that they had watched his conversation with the bullies the entire time, going on to imply that they were the ones that tampered with their bags. Kururi kissed Aoba and Mairu did the same, claiming she was happy to get a indirect kiss from her sister. She then whispered to Aoba that if he liked Kururi, he should know that she was probably only ever going to be interested in one guy(Yuuhei, just like Mairu) and even if he did get to date Kururi, he'd have to share her with her.
Eventually, the twins found an envelope with one million yen in it that had been dropped by the Headless Rider, Celty Sturlson. Celty is something of an urban legend in Ikebukuro, a headless figure dressed all in black that rides a black motorcycle around the city. Shortly after, an injured man named Igor approached them and they took him to a sushi bar to call for help. Not knowing that Celty was the Headless Rider's name, the two girls also asked the people if anyone knew who it belonged to. When they found out, they instantly decided that they had to come up with a plan to meet her. They ended up using Celty's money to pay for Igor's medical bill(ironically enough, the underground doctor working on him was Celty's boyfriend) in exchange for his help with meeting Celty. Because Celty works as a Courier, they got someone to contact her, offering her a job and planning to pay her with the remainder of the money she dropped. The request was for her to keep a mysterious bag with her for an entire day and not look inside...because Igor was hiding in it. The plan was for Igor to call the girls when he found out where she lived. Unfortunately, Celty was attacked by a gang...as were the twins, by the same gang but in a separate location. Mairu and Kururi were saved by a group of people in a van(...who are friendly with most of the man cast, rather than being a random group of pedophiles). In the end, the twins didn't get to meet Celty and made Igor take them out shopping instead.
Around the time they started school, the twins became participants in a chat room that most of the main characters go in, using the aliases of "Kyo"(Kururi) and "Mai"(Mairu). They got the link to it from their brother's assistant, and he's the only one in the room that knows who they are. The two of them tend to harrass the other chatgoers, often making uncomfortable observations, and during Golden Week they implied that they are in an incestuous relationship and scolded people for not going out and having fun.

It didn't take long for someone to warn Mairu about the porn. They probably thought that she was an innocent girl, and didn't want her to stumble upon it on accident while looking for an innocent, age-appropriate story.
But to Mairu, it wasn't a warning. It was an invitation.
She wasn't sure what to do first...watch the porn on the TVs or check out the stuff at the library. After watching the porn on the TV for about an hour, she decided to see what they had at the library, and skipped through the halls merrily like an innocent little girl. When she got there, she began to go through the shelves, pulling books out at random and opening them to check out their contents. She'd put them back if they weren't pornographic, but if they were and she just found the porn uninspired and boring? She'd toss it over her shoulder. Maybe someone with tamer taste or someone that found bodies that she thought were frankly unsexy to be their type would want it, after all!
After she finally found something that satisfied her, Mairu trotted off to the cafeteria eagerly, giggling to herself as she flipped through it, "Oh my, how erotic!" She made a quick stop in to grab a food bar, and what she was reading almost made her forget that it tasted like cardboard. Almost. Regardless, it wasn't enough to make her grin fade as she ate the thing and read without bothering to look where she was going.

This game includes horrible mental and physical torture of your character. After reading the rules/faq for clarification, how do you expect your character to handle this and continue to function?
Mairu grew up in the same house as Izaya and was subjected to his social experiments at a very young age, including being encouraged to commit suicide when she was as young as five, so I'd say she's used to dealing with some degree of mental trauma at the very least. Her coping method is acting out so I'm sure she'll do a lot of it during her stay at the Facility.
