Here is a interesting (to me) question. How did you discover your talent? I guess in answering that question you first have to think about what is your talent, Do you have more than one, which is more core? which one do you want to talk about?
I have a difficult time with the 2nd part, I don't often think of myself as being very talented, and i am such a random and wide sweeping sampler platter of interests its hard to pigeonhole it into one. But i guess all in all it would be my interest in how things work. And I guess you could say its been there all along, i have a very early memory (age 3 or so) of asking my mom if the bathtub drain was connected by a chain to the little handle that lifted and lowered it. My mom said she didnt know. This surprised me she was all knowing and wise, and must know how these things work! Im sure the memory stuck in my head not because i was trying to figure out how it worked, but because inside the wall of the tub there was something i could only figure by its interaction, but yet from never seeing it i had atleast 85% of it right. (10 year salter I found that it was connected by rods and yokes.
This curiosity and understanding of mechanical things and systems. Has stuck with me all my life. and it is a factor in everything from my photography, to computer repair. Its deep enough that its intuitive, and very interesting when im wrong.
