Blackbird's Song

Jul 16, 2011 23:51

Pairing: Jaejoong/Yoochun
Genre: Drama, Romance (?), a bit of angst
Rating: PG
Summary: If Jaejoong  jumps, Yoochun's sure to follow

Jaejoong flicks his cigarette, watching as the stick slowly drops to the ground. He watches it plummet towards the ground from the high rise of the building he's standing over. He thinks it would be so easy to jump and end it all- albeit cliche. He wonders what people on the ground think of a man standing over the ledge. Will they think he's some crazed lunatic waiting to jump? Will they even care? that is the bigger question of the two.

He's always had this fascination with dying- not death but dying. There is a slight difference you see, death is just the end result of dying and dying in itself is a process. He wants to feel those last moments when you're fast descending, free falling from the building- what would it be like? People don't get it; which doesn't really bother him but he's tired of having to explain so he doesn't.

Yoochun simply watches his friend (lover?) balance himself over the ledge of the building. He's done this a lot more times than he could count and has grown immune to this weird fetishes. He's simply there to ensure that the other doesn't fall- to catch him (even go right after him if he has to)Sometimes Yoochun understands Jaejoong perfectly but this is something he himself is as clueless about as with the other people. He can't quite explain it but he knows that this is completely Jaejoong over here and he just has to embrace everything about the other man.

It was quite a story to how them met; Yoochun was trying to kill himself and Jaejoong just happen to disrupt the whole process he was doing. He doesn't know whether he should be thankful or just tell the other to go fuck himself but obviously that's not what happened. He was contemplating on jumping as well that day. He thinks how ironic it would be, how a person so terrified of heights would jump to his death-it would have been something.

Jaejoong stand over the ledge with him and slowly lights a cigarette he puffs once before giving it to him, he takes it not knowing why but he just does. He finishes the cigarette and before he knew it the thoughts of jumping were gone replaced by a wonder of how a guy without even saying anything could convince him otherwise. He's not saying that Jaejoong completely saved him because the man was like him in a sense- desperately trying to die but continuing on with life nonetheless. What he thinks differs greatly is that a part of himself is scared to die while Jaejoong is at any moment ready to jump.

It's an unsaid pact between them; you jump, I jump. Yoochun knows deep inside that it would be the other who'll jump first and he'll just blindly follow. Their relationship is based on dying but they both continue on living for one another, it's a soulmate's pact. It won't matter when it will happen or if it will he just knows that whatever happens he'll follow, he always will and no questions asked. This he thinks is what love most likely feels like- to have the world right by you but fear it shatter, so you do your best to shield it away from harm but to no avail. The world will get to you, will destroy you and it will only be a matter of time. Yoochun wants to hold on longer though, he'll try as much as he cam.

That day they met Yoochun decided that if Jaejoong let's go he'll be there to hold his hand on the way down.
