Can you beleve this shit.
I had an easy load today. (Wendsday) All i had was 190 cases about 2000 pounds the store was only 250 miles out. so i ran the 2000 pound load out to the store off loaded in 45 mins and sent in all my messages that i was empty. My fleet manager sends me back a message saying. "Joe, Head home with your available hours. check in with me around 12:00 for your load info for after the holiday. Have a good Thanksgiving." So i replayed "will do have a good holiday" And go home. Got home around 10:30/11 ordered a pizza from Pizza hut and just as i finished eating My fleet manager calls and tells me my load info is ready. so i go out to my truck and send in my message that i'm ready to pick up the load. and the load info is sent back to me. The load is for 11/25 10:00 am. so that means i have to leave at 8 AM thanksgiving day to drive back to Penn so i can be ready to take this load to Mass. my holliday was less then 24 hours and i don't even get thanksgiving day off. its bad enough i missed out on the family part but now i have to work too. My dad went to Maine for tday my mom is in Texas and Jer (Best freind) is in Ohio. so granted i would have been alone anyways but at least i would be HOME. now i'm going to have thanksgiving dinner at a truck stop.
