WOOHOO one more week. Sold My car to steve today. Then we went to hooters. plus i went to Royal Buffet. So today i call Werner to get the info on my bus ticket to Allanetown and then tomarow i'm suposed to pay my taxs and turn in my plates. left shaws thursday the 12th. Went out yesterday and got some stuff for when i leave. Got new driving gloves, 3 pairs of pants, some new underwear and socks, 4 new sleveless shirts, and some misc things i needed. starting to get excited about leaving. i can't wait to get out on the road and just feel free. free of the BS from my past. the fake people i knew. the chains of living at home. the depresion that comes with being in dept and just to feel free. still worryed about things like what kinda person my trainer will be. worried about how i'm going cope with being alone all the time (When i get a dog that should help. Can't wait for the day where i can be driving down the road an d talking to my firends on the net at the same time. Still kinda worried about how i'm going to met a girl when i'll be on the road all the time. In other news i havn't talked to Tracy in a long time doubt i ever will. Was suposed to see Kimmy befor i left but with $30 and $50 pay checks i couldnt. Picked up my moms cell thismorning and saw she had a voice mail so i checked it and it turned out to be Jeremy. i havn't used that phone in over a year and he calls my moms phone to say congrats about my test. Fuck it i'm done with this state anyways. i have been threw way to much shit here and i realy think it's time i walked away. (Or in this case Drive away). Here is the Info i got about my Orentation
Congratulations!
You are going to be training with one of the leading companies in the
industry. Our training program allows you to cultivate your basic
skills into a safe and professional truck-driving career.
DMI, a subsidiary of Werner Enterprises, Inc., has accepted your
application as a driver trainee contingent upon successful completion of
the approved tractor-trailer training course. The approval will require
that you obtain a CDL class "A" license with a Hazardous Material
Endorsement in the state of your permanent residence. This acceptance
is also contingent upon further background investigations, the
appropriate motor vehicle reports, and the successful completion of the
hiring process.
The second phase of the hiring process is orientation. You will be
required to pass a company physical that will include a drug screen.
DMI will cover the cost of the physical and screening. We also cover
the cost of the motel starting the night before orientation until you
are assigned your trainer. We provide you with a bus ticket to our
closest terminal for orientation. Orientation is 2 to 3 days beginning
on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday at all our major terminals. Your
orientation date will need to be set up with your recruiter. You will
need to bring money for your food for at least a week.
The tuition reimbursement process is handled out of our home office in
Omaha, NE. You may either send your enrollment agreement receipts and
loan contracts to the Omaha office or bring them with you to the
orientation site. It is your responsibility to ensure the tuition
reimbursement department receives the appropriate documents. This will
allow for accurate and efficient processing of your tuition account.
We have attached a list of items that you need to bring with you. You
must have your priority items with you at orientation. Please contact
your recruiter to set up an orientation date and get your employment
with Werner off to a great start.
