The Collision of Death and Sacrifice

Jul 10, 2004 16:55

Cold ending winter nights; frozen, blank, yet heavy lights scatter throughout the night sky. The spotlight burning on the scalp of my head as the curtain pulls back. An empty audience applauds upon my entrance. The choir prepares for the next piece. Every face in this church resembled hers. Tears of sweat dripped down my face. Everyone now is in prayer position. The priest approaches me. "Do you know?" he says. I didn't understand. He then struck me with a knife, the same blade she used on me. I looked down at the entry wound and fell on my knees. Looking back at the priest, I gasped. It was her...she fooled me again. I ran.

I can't take much more of that pain. It was now raining outside. The thunder clashed often with the lightning. I began walking down the street nearest the cemetery. The strip went on forever. The naked treed swayed with the movement of the wind. To my right were the tombstones of imprisoned corpses. I tried not to think about it.

With a strike of lightning, I saw a flashback. It was of her and me. There we were, walking through an empty mall. In my left hand was a shopping bag and in my right hand was her left. I turned to her and smiled. She gave me a weird look. "What's wrong?", she asked. Her beauty confided my silence. There was absolutely nobody in the building. The shops were open but barren. She began to fade. First was her left...our connection. She looked at me and said, "that hurts...". She then couldn't see me, hear me, or talk to me. Now she was gone. I reached the present time period upon awakening to a thunder crash. I tried not to think about it.

I approached my car and got in. I started the engine and drove off. As soon as I turned my headlights on, I noticed something was different. It was no longer raining outside but snowing...odd. I ignored it and continued driving.

As I approached a bridge, I felt another flashback. However, there was no change in time and place. The only difference was that she was right next to me. Upon glancing in the rear view mirror, though, I saw him. He didn't look at me. Even though it wasn't me, I was still driving...I was over powered with a rage of jealousy. She said, "You okay, baby?". I responded "You'll see". We are now driving on the bridge. An oncoming cars' headlights sparked an idea. I quickly undid my seatbelt and steered the vehicle left. She screamed...I tried not to think about it.

The oncoming car smashed head on with the passenger door. The glass shattered and embedded into her skin. The interior of the car caved in on her. The cracked windshield was paved in red ink. As for him, I hit the railing of the bridge. The impact flew me out of the car through the windshield and I hit hard on the water below...he drowned. The car fell off the bridge as well. It sank well beneath the surface of the water. She was trapped in the coffin and buried alive. The cars headlights passed and I continued driving.
