like,.. 3 weeks ago.. or maybe 4?.
me and roxie ate chinese, and we got the fortune cookies
mine read, something extraordinary will happen at work next week
those may not be the exact words, but it was something like that
roxie was like.. "im gonna have to show up to work everyday for the next week now"
as a joke being, she thought something was gonna happen.,.. like.. well you know..
but nah..
the fortune cookie was about 3 weeks early though,..
there is a new opening for opening manager at work, its sort of like assistant manager, but like.. they only get to be in charge of the morning, and leave in the afternoon, and get all afternoon and night off, and get paid a lil more. but anywho.. everyone at work was working "hard" only when this promotion was announced because everyone wanted it, and well. why would i get excited, ive only been working there for 3 months and everyone has been working there for like 4-6 years already. so i was like.. eh whatever.
so i was minding my own business just working like i always do, and the head manager had come to pizza hut and was talking to me about what i plan to do with my life now that i graduated.. and well, i thought of it as simply a conversation,. then he left and my manager, eddy, called me outside. i thought it was in reference to a pizza i had delivered wrong like a few minutes before, but he was like, "its nothing bad, its very good". so i was like.. meh?.. and he told me... how would you like to be the new assistant. and i was like... ::speechless::.
point being,.. i got the position, and i have to go do a drug test tomorrow cause with every promotion and raise comes a drug test. after that, i start training tuesday, oh wait thats tomorrow too.. haha.. well.. ever since i found out ive been really happy in a way,. its like.. wow, it feels good to be promoted.
lots of people are mad at work cause they wanted the position so they just stare at me really weird and like i get angry vibes from them, but like eddy said, "fuck them, you deserved it". so.. im not gonna think much of it.
it has been a good summer so far.
