Comments: I just came to think of this poem I wrote long ago and thought it might be a good fic with some adjustments. I’ve never written something like this before, but I hope it turned out alright^^

Kyos PoV:

I’m sitting on a bench in the park, you used to sit there with me. Now an abandoned newspaper has taken your place. A raindrop find it’s way in under my jacket, slowly the rain paints a reflection of the world on the ground. Can I find you in that picture?

Do you remember when we used to watch the stars in the never-ending universe, how we used to pretend we were those stars and that we could stay like that forever.

Snow slowly falling and I feel your warm breath on my cheek. Just like that warm breath turned into steam only to turn into nothing, how could I’ve known that was how we would end up.

We broke up and scattered, just like those flower petals in spring. But life is a tricky game isn’t it? Where we deceive only to be deceived.

When you squeeze a flower too hard it will wither no matter how beautiful it is. We never thought love could be suffocating because you don’t read about that in a romantic novel.

Our passion was burning too strong, it consumed all energy. Just like the stars when they’ve reached their peak we exploded into a supernova, only to leave a black hole sucking away all light.

We thought time couldn’t change us, what’s a year anyway? Now I know what it means, packed bags and an empty seat next to me on the bench. The newspaper beside me turns it pages in the wind, maybe I should do the same? Still I’m hoping to see your umbrella in this spring rain…

Mao’s PoV

I felt like I was broken, in peaces, just like the shards from shattered glass. Isn’t there a map on which you can find eternal love?

We slept only to live thru another tomorrow. A beauty in decomposition is what you have turned our love into, we were filth in that beauty.

Can’t this falling rain paint me an illusion, an alternative version of this mediocre play. With all the beautiful green coming to life in the rain, were we always fated to become the mud?

The flower in my hand is giving in to the heavy raindrops, the petals fall one by one, pearls of water on top of my umbrella. Thru a curtain of rain I see a blurry picture of a scenery well known. The trees, the flowers, a bench full of happy memories. Now it’s empty, a soaking wet newspaper is the bench only company. Suddenly there is a clearing in the sky, will the stars be as bright as they were that unforgettable night?

Love turned out to be a killer in disguise, but not everything has withered. I’m on my way home but I decide to take a different direction.

In a little pool o water outside your door I see an insecure face, god I wish I could wash it off. I put my finger on the doorbell, hear the sound of a door getting unlocked, what awaits me on the other side?…
