i got a new job!!!
after working at touch velocity for less than a month, they shut down, saying that we would open back up within two weeks. It has been about a month. So i started looking around for other jobs. Justin had a friend that is a manager at a starbucks and i thought that working there would be pretty sweet, specially cus you pretty much get a raise within the first 3 months. and even working part time i get full benefits.
not that i need them yet or anything but its nice to know i can get them if i do!
so i applied. and then went on spring break, i didnt get a call at all from starbucks or even touch velocity durring that whole week. so i was a bit nervous, considdering im moving into an apartment of my own soon and have to pay rent every month..
Then last week when i was on break durring my development and preproduction class i got a call from the manager at starbucks. got an interveiw and all that. it was weds, and the interveiw wasnt till monday so i had some time to wait to see if i got any other job offers haha. monday rolled around and i got up all evtra early and ended up being a half hour early to my interview. The peticular starbucks i applied to, is right downtown, near all the huge buisnesses and firms and all that. THEY WERE PACKED. but it seemed to look like they had a flow going and people actually came in and got out pretty fast. my interveiw went very well, so well that she had pretty much confirmed i had the job, but their policy in their district ( of like 9 stores) is tyhat they have to have another manager from another store interview you, to see if you are the right "fit," for their company, and the coworkers. So she said id hear from her in about 3 or 4 days to set up another interveiw at another store. She called me THAT NIGHT. and had me come into my second interveiw the next day*yesterday*. so that interveiw went just as well and that girl also told me i probably got the job. I got a call today, and she said that im hired. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
i start april 17th. i would have been starting this week but she has meetings and all that and is super busy so im starting the following one. whooot.
now some of you might be saying " ew corperate craphole!!!," but really, to me i dont even give a shit anymore, a job is a job, and i need one. so ill take it. and they treat their employees great. so im excited.
be excited for me. this means ill have money to spend on fun things. or things i need to have to live!!
none of you holt peeople talk to me much anymore.
