...Leorio is rather late, isn't he? [It's both a nice change of pace, being able to think about their missing friend, and paradoxically a sad train of thought. Never mind the other articles on the list.]

Though I would almost prefer he wasn't trapped here like us.

It can't be that much worse than studying day in and day out.

...What's so bad about studying? Granted, it can become tedious at times...

[Ding ding ding! You have found a bookworm!]

Well, it's different if you're actually studying something interesting.

[Medical text books are uninteresting by definition.]

It's surprising you don't find information about the human body and the various things that affect it interesting.

[What...with you being an assassin and all. Who finds pleasure in ripping certain people's hearts out and squishing them.]

[But, Kurapica. He already knows anatomy. You don't learn that by studying. You learn that by shoving your hands in people's chest cavities and digging around for a while.]

It doesn't take a diagram to understand what a knife does to the human body.

[i.e. Most diseases are boring, and so is all the lingo.]

... [Now that he thinks about it, it's kind of a good thing Killua isn't interested in human anatomy.]

Fair enough. But you aren't interested to know how you can manipulate parts of your body, like your fingers, to become sharper than normal?

It's not like I'm Wolverine or anything. It's just a bit of pressure and shifting of mass.

...I guess I get what you're saying though. [He leans in a little closer.] Things like how Gon's nose works.

[voice] I like how Killua references Wolverine. checkmychainyo January 5 2012, 08:07:15 UTC
Is that so? Who's Wolverine?

[Blink blink.] I doubt Gon even knows how his own nose works.

...In fact, I'm not sure modern medicine knows how Gon's nose works.

Only one of the best heroes in comics. [He waves the matter aside flippantly. You know Killua would be a fan of that.]

See? [He points out with a small grin.] That makes it more interesting.

Ah. [Yes, Killua would be a fan of that. As for Kurapica: he's never read a comic book before.] What does this Wolverine have to do with what we were discussing?

And perhaps when Leorio becomes a full-fledged doctor, he can explain Gon's incredible sense of smell to us.

He fights using retractable claws. Only his are bone and metal.

...You really think so? Or are you just saying that.

[voice] why do I like this thread so much checkmychainyo January 6 2012, 05:59:09 UTC
Bone and metal? An interesting combination. I assume he uses Nen for this, since you said your body manipulation was unlike his retractable claws.

[It's a wonder why he even cares about a comic book hero. Maybe he could just use the distraction.]

It's a possibility. [Teasing Leorio without him is just not the same.]

[voice] Because Killua and Kurapica are talking about something so completely inane. What even. kill_joo_ded January 6 2012, 06:30:55 UTC
Nope! He's a mutant, like a slightly more evolved human. He has accelerated healing abilities, and he can extend his bones into three claws coming out of each hand. An organization reinforced his skeleton with adamantium to make him more powerful.

[It's pretty clear that Killua is enjoying this.]

[voice] they need to do this more often checkmychainyo January 6 2012, 06:53:09 UTC
[Kurapica thinks that sounds pretty absurd, ngl. The Nen option or body manipulation like Killua can do would have been more realistic.]

You're very informed about this.

He was pretty cool, so I asked about him and looked him up when I had the chance. The suits all the heroes and villains wear are pretty strange though.
