Where are we going? [Squinting at the background of the picture, trying to figure out where Killua is.]

[He's actually in the scrap yard near the building, unearthing a led pipe.]

Outside the city.

[Oh - there, he recognizes a bit of scrap... he bounces to his feet, zipping out of the building to the scrapyard.]

Okay.

[It's weird asking what's wrong on the phone. He'll wait until he's there: it'll only be a few seconds, anyway.]

[When Gon gets there, Killua's waving the pipe lightly through the air, testing its weight.]

[Gon slows to a stop a few feet away: pipe + scrapyard + going somewhere + Killua's kind of quiet. Something happened to somebody -- right? He's starting to get worried.]

Killua? What happened?

Senritsu showed up yesterday.

[He doesn't turn to face Gon until after he says that much, letting the pipe hang limply at his side.]

Kurapica disappeared today.

[Though he keeps emotion to a minimum, Gon is one of few people who might be able to read him. His eyes say, "You're next."]

[Kurapica left? How can he be sure-- but then Gon catches that look, and the questions don't make it to his lips. Instead, he's silent for a moment.]

[Then he punches Killua in the nearest shoulder, not too hard.]

Yeah, well, when we beat those spirits, we'll get back too!

[Because his PCD's offline. Because some of his stuff has disappeared. Because nobody sticks around for long.

And then Gon punches him, and his mind does a weird half-jump back to reality.]

Uh. Y-Yeah...

[Don't look at him like he's going to leave.

He won't. But you know that, right? So he's not going to say it out loud: he's just going to smile and point at the pipe.]

So, [because Killua wouldn't need a weapon to fight stuff,] we're gonna go find something to break... right?

[He brandishes the pipe for Gon's benefit before tossing it to him and looking for another.]

Something big, heavy, and loud.

[Catching the pipe and walking over to help Killua look, a small frown creeping over his face as the smile fades.]

Hey, Killua...

It's a good thing that Kurapica got to go home, though, right?

Well, he won't find the scarlet eyes if he stays here. He wanted to go home.

[Ah, there's one. He bends down to reach for his prize, trying much harder than he'd anticipated to keep his cool. He's not sure he should say anything else, and he almost doesn't, but a thought keeps him going. If Gon doesn't understand, then no one can. As scared as he is of Gon feeling differently, he's more scared of that fear because it shouldn't be there.]

But it's not okay if we don't go together.

Right...?

[Instantly.] Right!

But he had things he needed to do... [His face stills for a minute, maybe a little sad.] And it'd be better if we all went home together, but if we go back to the same time, then we wouldn't be able to help him right away anyway.

[And they have to go back to the moment they left, because if they don't, things might already be ruined.]

Yeah... That's true. [He can't say anymore than that. If he does, it will be obvious something deeper is wrong.]
