And dear God! You definitely need to switch to another dentist! What an awful experience. The ex-rays always hurt me too, but at least my dentist tries to be nice about it.

she's an older vietnamese woman. i think the things she says come out a little more frank than she means them to. but from anyone else it would be weird.

I agree. Switch dentists. If it makes you feel any better, apparently I must have a small mouth too. Those X-rays are torture. I have an awesome dentist but I still get some torn tissue on the inside of my mouth every time.

Oh, and from last I saw you: The longer you grow your hair, the heavier it is, hence why it seems to not have any volume & body near the roots. It's taut from the weight. Also, try changing conditioners.

oh no i'm not offended, don't worry. yeah the length thing is what stylists always warned me about. but i've always wanted waist length hair, so i'll see how what i should do about it once i get there. i use a conditoner to make hair full, but i genetically have such thin hair there's only so much it can do.
