My favourite Documentary Films

Dec 09, 2009 11:11

Who doesn't love a good doc? You get to learn something, meet fascinating people, discover issues and people affecting our world. I'm going to share a few of my favourites.

Without a doubt, my all-time favourite doc. I even wrote a paper on Jean Dominique (and his use of media). His charisma, passion and intensity is magnetic. You can't help but be drawn in by the intensity of his eyes, the passion of his beliefs, and his infectious smile. Dominique was a man who thrived on pissing off the all the 'right' people; he challenged the powerful business elites, corrupt government officials and militias for accountability to the Haitian people. He was assassinated on April 3, 2000. I cannot recommend this film enough.
