Okay David and Selena have way too much chemistry to play brother and sister seriously. Especially in the movie, Justin was more like the romantic lead in that.

IKR?! During the campfire scene I was like getting all these romantic vibes and was half expecting Justin to kiss Alex. Disney so ships them.

lol they so do - i saw the movie before ever watching the show (SO MISSING OUT) and i spent the first half of the movie going 'oh, they must be step-siblings what with the crushing on each other', go Disney, just keep makin' it awkward :)
