Vacation post 5

We arrived in Long Island just in-time to meet Ken. It was nice to see him again and to notice how his back injury was doing better. We talked about life, and friends. While he was explaining to us his problems with some kind of beetles that are eating his foundations, one of his friends (Denis) stopped and we laughed out most of the night. He even stayed long enough to participate somewhat we the gaming (that is a story for the filter as is much of the days we stayed there).

Last time we visited Ken, we didn’t really had the chance to talk but this time, we were able to find some time to really exchange and not only play.

Friday morning, we left at the same time that Ken left for work. Since we were almost broke, we decided not to go visit NYC so my mate decided to bring me visit the Old Westbury Gardens . It was a very peaceful place and in its totality, very nice but if you started to pay attention to little details, then you could see many little, call it flaws or irritants.  None the less, if it were from my huge lack of sleep and the way I was dressed (since Ken had left us for work leaving us with a lock dog collar, and that I had decided to blend the collar with appropriate clothing seeing that we were supposed to go to NYC), I would have greatly enjoy this visit.

While my mate went to visit the mansion, I decided to take a nap in the car. He came back and then we tried to visit a couple of park on Long Island. They seem to have wonderful parks but almost none of them have a place to park L. We were still able to see one memorial park that was quite nice and on our way back to Ken, I stopped and bought a new collar for my mate.

Once at Ken’s home, the play started almost immediately; so here is where Friday ends for you.

Saturday morning, after we were freed, we went to our internet, my mate and I to see if everything was still good for our next visit and Ken because he had some personal business to attend. After that, we decided on going to see a movie.

We ended up watching “The Last Airbender” which I somewhat enjoyed seeing that I was expecting a lemon. The plot is good, the action is nice and the décor is wonderful. On the other hand, the script is pitiful; the acting is greatly lacking and the narration irritating at best. Even though, we had a great time and we decided to go eat at a buffet before heading back home.

There, I helped Ken to mow the lawn and to pack for like us, he had to leave early Sunday morning. We played a tab bid more before calling it the night.

Sunday morning we got up early, cleaned ourselves and said our goodbyes. I hope that we’ll be able to visit him again next year.
