This ain’t no fleabag hotel ya parasite
As everything was coming back to normal, I have been hit by another plague. Leave it to man’s best friend to infest the den of this noble wolf. When my mom last visited me, her dogs left my den without many of their stowaways. By the time we noticed this, we had a full grown colony of the mini arthropods. They were invaders of MY space which is something I would not tolerate. So I went to the pet store and armed myself with a spray can of flea killer and let them have it.
Of course flea spray is not enough; I had to make sure to have a total and complete eradication of the pests. This meant doing a thorough clean up of the entire den (including washing of the clothes and bedding) removing any remnants of organic material from the floor and any sheltering the might be apt to hide in. As Sienfeld’s soup Nazi might say, No more blood for you!
It seems now after multiple days of chemical warfare we are starting to win the battle against the interlopers.
On another note, I saw something that really pissed me off lately on LJ. I am usually against commenting negatively on the content of my friends LJ’s but something really pissed me off lately. There is a meme that is going around and I find it Very Very Very insulting, racist, demeaning, nasty malicious, Vicious. In that meme, you are ask to answer a few question about a few topic especially related to some countries but for the last country of the meme (the USA) all that is asked is only aimed at very negative aspects of the clichés about USA.
I really disliked the Bush administration and I’m also discussed by the attitudes of some American tourists but I will not generalize their bad behavior to the all country. Not only that but by axing on the negative side of only the USA, the creator of that meme makes a clear racist attack against them Americans. I live in North Carolina for more than a year and the majority of the people I met there (and anywhere I went on vacation) were very friendly, civilized and in many ways, very similar to the Canadian people I know.
I would have hoped that people would have noticed this and that they would understand that just by filling and posting this meme they were endorsing and propagating the racist messages.
Last but not least, after reading my mate last update, I have to change some of my habits. I have been through difficult time and now that they are over, I have to change the bad habits I nursed. I am way too often in-front of the TV. It is time to find better activities and better hobbies now that I am less tired. I already did some improvement on that but I’ll double my effort so to help my mate’s moral state.
