Ending the year

A lot of good and bad things happened since my last post.

At work, I finally received my desk and my office is really great. They swore that I would have a brand new computer this month since this one is not strong enough to hold on as the central point for our wireless network. After that, I will only have to buy a few things and bring a plant to give it a personal feeling.
In my personal relationship, I had some quiet time with my family and I was lucky enough to have a white Christmas and a white New Year. My father gave me a wonderful gift for Christmas this year. He gave me for about a month worth of meals that he prepared for us. My sister was also the barer of good news; her boyfriend gave her an engagement ring.
The absence of my mate in these celebrating times were weighting heavily on me but it left me with the same sensations that I had when I first fell in love with him. The butterflies are back every single time I think about him and our chat became a lot more personal lately which just add to my impatience of having him again in my arms.
Not having the time needed to keep contact with my friends bothered me a lot too, so I took as a resolution for this year to work harder on managing more time for my friends.
I also made a new friend; welcome silverfangzero I am happy to know you and I am flattered that you decided to join the pack.
Finally, my last two shows were really something too but that is for the TMI filter.

On a bad note, my mom did some emotive blackmail to me and my sister. It only succeeded to piss me off and I took some distance from her for a short while, though it did hurt my sister deeply. She was also hurt by the lack of reaction from my father to the news of her engagement. How many more years will it take for my parents to become adults and rejoice for the happiness in their children’s life?
On a more technical topic, Saturday December the 30th, I got a flat as I was going to my father’s place. I tried to take out the wheel with the ratchet I had in the car without any success so I called my father and bought a cross so not to damage the nuts (I gave mine to my mom last summer). We came back to the car and successfully loosen the first four nuts but ended up stripping the last one. So back again in his car for the search of a place open where I could buy or rent the tool needed to unscrew the last bolt from my mag. We found it and $60 later the wheel is in the trunk of my father’s car and we are on the hunt to buy a used tire and to have it installed and balanced so I wouldn’t have to go to St-Donat the next day on the little spare tire. After almost six hours and over $140 the car is fixed but it is time for me to leave my father so to prepare myself for the last show of the year.

A new year has now begun and promises only good thing to come my way. Be ready to hear a bit more from me this year and who knows maybe I’ll end up at your door to pay you a visit. ;)
