My girls finally stopped the losing streak. 90 - 76 over the visiting Minnesota Lynx.

Seattle Storm’s Lauren Jackson, right, smiles as she returns to the court with
Sue Bird after a timeout late in the first half against the Minnesota Lynx Saturday,
June 9, 2007, during a WNBA basketball game in Seattle. Jackson missed the
team’s previous game because of illness.

- LJ is back and feeling a whole damn lot better! 30 monster points on 12 for 15 shooting (3 for 4 on threes). Add 9 rebounds to that. This woman is just unstoppable.

- Birdy with the swollen knee had a fantabulous game. 10 buckets and 8 dishes. Never will I pick any other PG ever. No, not Dawn Staley, not Ticha Fancypants Penecheiro, not Lindsey Harding, and not Lindsay Whalen. Sue’s it.

- Betty with quiet but SOLID game. Smart thinking this season, Lennox. She knows when to shoot and when to pass.

- JB came alive in the third quarter, scoring most of her points there.

- Izzy. What can I say? She’s been pretty consistent since the start of this season.

- Wendy. Great start for Wendy although she was hampered by those weird fouls during the second half.

- KG! OMG, Katie Gearlds is going to be one of my favorite shooting guards. Well, we can put her behind Taurasi but anyway, glad to see her getting her pro legs slowly but surely. Ya can do it, KG.

- All starters in double figs, Loz having a monster game after missing that loss in Sacto, Birdy having 2 good games in a row, and everyone doing well. I don’t care if Minny’s knackered with back-to-back games and the fact that this is their rebuilding year but it is a STORM WIN and I’ll take it as it is.

Go Storm Go!
