“Prisoner has arrived, sir.” The soldiers stated to their leader as the man in the long red coat, hands bound together by metal cuffs was pulled along to the hole in the wall jail cell he was to be confined in.

They were going to get a pretty penny on this man’s head once he was brought in to the Zangyack empire
There was an arrogant quirk to his head and a disdainful look on the pirate’s face as the metal brackets closed behind him. Marvelous stood there silently, hearing the footsteps soften as the guards were foolish enough to assume that because he was in their jail cell that he wouldn't need to be watched.
Clearly, they’ve never dealt with a pirate before. Marvelous knew with utmost confidence that he would be out of that cell in one hour.
…One hour and one minute,
…One hour and two minutes.
……………One hour and three minutes.
“Where is he?” Marvelous frowned, wringing his hands impatiently as he waits for his main crewman. Maybe he should demote him for making him wait so much. But to what? Doc already took reigns of resident loser on the ship and that was only because with their substantial bounties on their heads, Doc only rung up 100 coin.
Even Ahim, the dainty polite princess had at least half a mil on her head and she wasn’t even technically a pirate.
Kitchen staff! That’s where Joe will go. Marvelous will demote him to baker. It only helped that Joe was embarrassed by his own fondness for baking elaborate pastries and cakes. It was brilliant! And there would be cake!
That thought was interrupted as the wall behind his cell door was blown open and a flash of blue light faded to reveal the stern face of the tall man in the blue jacket. Marvelous reclined back against the wall and gave his crew member a look of pure superiority over the man, neither upset nor really surprised.
“Oi, I though I ordered you to get me out of here before nightfall. I’ve been bored.” The first mate just quirked his lips up slightly and slammed his sword down into the chain connecting the Gokai Red to the wall. “You’re always bored.” He commented, handing Marvelous the gun to which the captain smirked. “The crew is waiting on the galleon,” Joe said shortly, extending his hand out to Marvelous who, with a cocky grin, took it and the two escaped the jail house, side by side.
“You’re gonna pay for making me wait, you know.”
“Yes, I’m aware.”
“Good. When we get back to the ship, you’re baking me a cake. Chocolate.”
