Currently engaged in cleaning up pics and my homepage, so, apologies if old links no longer work.
Dry has built a new house-server and with geocities disappearing, I will be radically altering how I do web presence.
On more RL concerns:
I am seeking to upgrade my job and/or for us to move around the first of the year. Drykath wants to consider his home area of Tampa Florida. I am ok with that, as is Sikes.
I am massively upgrading my SCA arms:
Some examples of things I am making/have on order:
First are new arms. I have a set of these (in black) on order:
I plan to splint them with metal strips to achieve an effect like this:
Then, I will add a rondel to the elbow area to achieve a very functional 14th century look at much less weight than my current rig.
For the legs I am in the que to get a set of padded thighs (with pockets for metal splints) made by the same guy who did my arming coat. They will look roughly like this:
These will be lighter, more protective, and more in theme with the look I want than my current legs.
Lastly, I am in process ordering the plastic sheeting and canvas coat for a new coat of plates. It will be put together with brass rivets and made to this 1360's pattern:
This, plus a pell, some tables out of the Known World Handbook, and a few odds and ends of garb are my major projects over the winter.
