Busy
I've been way too busy recently. School work is eating me alive...or so it seems.
I had my baby shower last Saturday. Almost everyone who was invited showed up. It was nice. :) We only got a few things from the registry but we got some other very nice things. When I get a change I'll take pictures of the stuff. We also received Target gift cards worth a total of $85 and $150 in cash.
Mom bought us the infant car seat and it came in the mail on Wednesday. It's really nice. I had to open the package of course. ;) I can't leave boxes/packages unopened. I put it back in the box for now though. I don't want the cats thinking it's a bed and leaving cat hairs all over it.
My road test was on Wednesday. I was SO sure I failed because the lady was going over the things I did wrong. Then she said "ok, I'm going to give you a license. The card will come in the mail in such and such time." I was shocked. My hand was shaking when she had me sign the receipt/temporary license.
So, I have my license and even a car. On Wednesday I drove myself to the grocery store and realized that I don't know how to park on parking lots. HAHA How ironic? All my friends tell me that's the easy part but all I ever really practiced was parallel parking. At the grocery store I parked far from the other cars and since I'm a perfectionist, had to pull forward and reverse a few times before I got it in the middle of the spot. Today I got some more practice. I took Olivia to the vet and parked nicely the first try. Then I went to Big Lots and Target and did pretty well parking at those places as well. Now I'm supposed to pick up Hassan from work soon and I'm not sure I really should be driving when I'm tired and it's dark. Mom would get all worried. She's been SO paranoid about me driving. I think she's starting to get more used to it now though.
Well, I better get going. I'm supposed to pick up Hassan at 10:30. I'll post pictures from the babyshower later.
