Friday-14th
We woke up around 7 or 8am. Hassan and I had taken our showers the night before so we just got dressed and went down to the lobby for breakfast. I love Hampton Inns because they have the free continental breakfast! It's nothing fancy or anything but it's free and I can eat as much as I want.
After breakfast, we packed up the car again and continued our trip. It was basically just another 8 hours or so of sitting in a car.
We arrived at Edisto Island around 6:30pm. The 1st thing I noticed when I got out of the car was the clean smell of the air. We checked-in to the resort and drove to our condo which was further away from the resort office. Our condo was on the beach! Hassan and I got the master bedroom since it had a king sized bed and the other room had 2 twin beds. Both rooms had their own bathrooms but we had the one with the jacuzzi (which I used every night). :D We also had the view to the beach.
After we were sort of settled in, we went to the grocery store (Piggly Wiggly-why do they call it that? lol). Back at the condo, we put the food away obviously. I can't remember what happened between then and the time we went to sleep.
Saturday-15th
I must admit, this day is a bit vague in my mind.
I woke up before Hassan. Mom and Tuula were already awake. I had my breakfast and afterwards mom, Tuula, and I went to a store to buy hats for ourselves. Tuula and I got caps, mom got a "paper" hat. It doesn't seem like paper to me but oh well.
After the hat shopping, we drove to this little farmer's store. We bought fresh vegetables and fruit. Yummy! They had chicken and geese walking around. It was amusing. :P
We returned to the condo around 1 or 1:30pm. Hassan was still asleep! I told him that if he didn't get up, I would take a picture and indeed I did!
Eventually I got Hassan to get up. He was in a bad mood after that though...
Later we all went to the Edisto Museum. It was very small. Basically, it was about the island's history. They had lots of old pictures and other old things.
That night, we all went outside to watch the sunset. It was beautiful! At 1st we all went to the boardwalk which was by our building and then Hassan and I went for a little walk on the beach.
After our walk, we took a jacuzzi bath. Then it was time for some rest again...
