Vainly Trying to Focus
I have been pretty productive tonight, but on all the non-vital things... *bad Tiina, bad*
I did a lot of ZoetIC work, but what I really ought to be doing is my presentation for the PCA/ACA conference, seeing as I am practicing it tomorrow.... Yikes. I'm going to have Kittredge help me pick out the best quotes for the novels I'm using, since I've a few that work, but I'm not sure what work best, and I'd prefer to keep to the strongest arguments. That and I can't remember where half the crap I was gonna use even /IS/ in the Handmaid's Tale... so I gotta go fishing, dammit.
I also have logic work that I ought to have gotten to earlier, but I haven't yet. *sigh* Granted, I've been sick and sleeping a lot more than I've been working... so there's that.
Anyway, this was just a method of procrastination, so it's back to actual work for now. T___T Maybe Katherine will understand when I come in with a half done presentation, since she says she's done that for conferences before, not actually finished anything until the weekend before. (Dear god please don't let me do that.... 'cept I know I will, 'cause I've got a paper due the day I leave for said conference)...
