Last Memories of Hawaii...
...was of one where I was almost mauled by this menacing Hawaiian woman.
Granted I do deserve it because I acted inappropriately and you know, had no brain.
So while tsukipon and I were leaving the store, this woman just slapped the little boy in her cart that was crying frantically. I didn't know how to react because my thought process was 1) oh shit 2) she slapped him 3) that was a bitchslap 4) she slapped him omg.
And somehow during step 3, I made the really bad mistake of laughing nervously and she got really angry at me. She stopped and told off about laughing at her son was being slapped. I immediately felt bad because, shit, that was just a terrible thing to do. I kind of sputtered a few words as she walked away. I didn't know what else to do because what if I proceed to piss her off some more somehow (because I"m dumb) and ran the other direction to where tsukipon was frantically gesturing. And then we proceeded to freak the hell out.
Justttt getting this out there. I was NOT laughing because of the fact that I find child abuse hilarious. It will never be funny. :|||| In fact it is just a nervous habit of mine to laugh when I don't know how to react. Granted I'm usually a whole lot better at thinking before acting and controlling the stupid things I do in public but this just...happened.
