Wow I haven't updated my lj in like *counts* four days....how neglective of me.
But yeah. Friday-Sunday was basically devoted to finishing homework, timing myself, and essays. So no fun.
Actually, my grade for the AP history test came on Thursday, but I haven't been able to talk about it until now.
I got a three on my test. It's a passing grade and everything, but I still wanted a four. >_<; A three on the test is basically a 'B' and a four is basically an 'A' but argh... 5 is the highest you can actually get, but it's like impossible, so I count that as a A+++++++. Funny since the night before the test I studied like mad to get ready for it, and I thought the test was easy. Hm. Well, I know one thing, History is not my strong point.
On the other hand, my report card came in. I'm happy with my grades. The only one that messed me up was my first semester grade in net tech. I got a darn 3.89 because of it. But I never learned anything in there. '_'; I studied my eyes off for that final, and thankfully passed. But in the words of
hpelessromntic,
"You never learned anything in this class huh? All you learned was the answers to the questions. But you'll forget that soon." same thing for physics you know.
OH yeah. CONGRATS SUPPAA KABE (
Costa_del_sol)!!! you lucky wall! you got a four!! *chucks pictures of Washington at her*
I got the new Harry Potter yesterday. Actually, my aunt got it for me, she's a big Harry-fan. She asked me if I was excited for it and I said that I like "POT" well, the pot remark made her do a double take. It was funny, I explained that I just shortened "POTter into POT, but it does have a double meaning. I do like another story called PoT. But she doesn't know that. ^^
I've been reading a lot lately, 60 some pages of my shadow 5 book, 6 mangas, and a 100 some pages of Harry Pot. All in like about 2 hours. wow.
Yesterday I went to the downtown library. That place has a huge supply of manga there! It was heaven!~~. I nabbed a bunch of manga but ended up finishing all of them except two by the end of the day. This is what I picked up:
Koko wa Greenwood vol. 4 - haven't read this yet.
Dragon Knights 18 - Tetheus got to duke it out with Saabel! Go Tetheus! And there was also some Rune action (I will forever love his hair) and a bonus Karl/Nohiro story at the end. Which was funny.
Whistle! I've been meaning to read this ever since I saw the teaser in Shonen Jump. Glad I did, the artwork/story looks really good.
Gamerz Heaven - Maki Murakami's stories are just as crazy as her Gravitation stuff. But I just can't help but go "Hey that looks like Shuichi, or there's another Yuki-like!" Oh well, Nata's cute. =P
Hot Gimmick 4 and 5 I'm rereading this. I still love this story.
Fruits Basket 8- I'd forgotten, somewhat, how much Shigure/Aaya/Hatori cracks me up. Also the monkey in the zodiac showed up, Ritchan. He's great too. XD
Gravitation 10 - Maki Murakami's storyline is so insane. >D
Chobits 6 and 7 Well, I now know where Chi came from now. This story is interesting. How Chi is drawn still bothers me now and then. But the art is still pretty.
Imadoki 1 and 4 - I'm reading this all out of order, but, since I have experience with other Wastase work, I can read it like this. No offense to Watase fans, but her storylines do get a bit repetitive. Tanpopo (main character) is by far the most genkiest as well as semi-smart heroine so far. The guy, Koki I think, looks like Tamahome/Toya/Kyo. I'll continue reading this still. XD
Viz is really annoying me lately, I've found so many typos, they misspelled 'Kikumaru and Seishun' in POT, (Kimurau and Seisun) and called Konishi Katsuki a woman, "Ms. Konishi" in Imadoki 1. Well, I would've been more lenient about the latter one, because Watase Yuu probably called him 'Konishi-san' and the san can be translated as Mr/Mrs/Ms. But since he does voice Touya the male lead in Ayashi no Ceres. Which Viz also publishes..... oh dear, I wonder how much Tokyopop will mangle 'Loveless'. I'll laugh if they call Soubi a battleship or something.
I think I may have found a typo in Harry potter too. In page 38 there's a 'fug' when I think it should be 'fog'. Is 'fug' even a word?
Edit: Fug is a word! It means a heavy stale atmosphere. I did not know that.
Sorry if my mood's a bit off from what it usually is. I'm feeling unusally sarcastic/negagive now. It's just that I'm stressed from having to write an 8+ page paper. And I'm only about half way done with the book. The thing is due April 16, omg....
SAT word of the day: Aesthetic - relating to beauty or good taste.
I have such Aesthetic friends. ^^
