stuff and things
I live in Toronto now!!
Yup, I love it here. So far. My room is great.. they told me it was a "super single" and they weren't kidding on the 'super' part!! My residence used to be a hotel so it's really nice -- I live in a hotel room! King size bed, my own bathroom, no roomie, space for my LoveSac and a fridge and perhaps turntables if I decide to buy them. Not to mention space for all my crap, comfortably.. and anyone who saw my room(s) at The Apartment (RIP) knows I have a LOT of crap. I can see the harbour and the CN Tower from my window. I'm right downtown, just off Dundas between Bay and University, a block or two from the Eaton Centre, for those who know TO.
My mom left yesterday, but not til after she helped me out with a lot of stuff. I'm mostly set now, got the major stuff dealt with/bought. I have a digital camera now, so I'll take lots of pictures. People are still being quite friendly, and school doesn't start til Monday -- this is orientation/frosh week. Good times thus far. I'm still a bit worried about making university friends (as opposed to the rave friends I already have up here) but I'll work on it. I think I'll look for a club to join -- I need something to kill time anyway, since I only have class on Mondays, and Tuesday afternoons.
My room is mostly set up now, thanks to a friend's surprise appearance last night.. that made me happy. :-)
Yup. Just got minor stuff to deal with today... might spend some more time wandering around the city, getting acclimated and whatnot. I'm learning my way around really quickly, much to my mom's surprise. It's not hard to learn your way around a city when you love it so much.
