i dont blame your mom

I wanted to know the sound of the rain
The trip drip drops land on my lips lick taste the
Sound of silence like the smell of air
On 3ams without a care but where will I go
When the night ends the lights dim and I stand
Alone, to hear the drone of cars that never came
To tame the restlessness of legs testing the strength of
Your dares, still inside your head without a voice
The thoughts that drip dip out of ears that never hear
To sing a song without words or noise full of just
A void. The lust of love that never came its just the same
As memories replayed on playback, just to pause
Still life, black and whites, slow motion as my notions
To pull you from the frame, even if it wont be the same
I’m willing, I’m game, to take a chance to dance
if you wanted to know the sound of the rain
As it dribbled drummed numbed my face
the last taste of nibbles tugged at this base
but I still left you with the sun, even though it meant we’re done
I wanted to know the rain sane, so I left you and the pain insane
The rain is all that’s left to blame
